Our Mission
Read 12 marriage books in our first 12 months of marriage.
We are documenting our journey to marital bliss. Our mission is to read 12 marriage books in our first 12 months of marriage. Follow along with us as we learn what it takes to make a successful marriage.
We realize that about half of all marriages end in divorce, and couples who stay married aren’t necessarily happy. We want to make sure we are part of the minority of the population that achieves a lifelong, fulfilling, happy marriage. If we’re ever going to focus on our marriage, what better time than in our first year?
About the Name
While we were dating, a friend referred to Matt as “Mr. Wonderful,” and it kind of stuck. So when we got engaged, I (Amber) was proud to become “Mrs. Wonderful.” We thought the names fit with the goal of this blog, so we used them!
Our Book List
Originally, we went through some of the most popular Amazon titles on marriage and compiled a list of what we would read for each month of the year. Well, then we reconsidered. We decided to leave it a bit more open-ended, so that if there is a book that’s not working for us, we can just move on. And if there’s a book that is fabulous that we must read, there’s room in the schedule. So if you know of any awesome marriage books (or ones to stay away from), tell us!
