About Matt

MattMatt spent most of his growing-up years in Iowa, where his family lived after his dad retired from the Navy. He studied graphic design at college there and worked at a newspaper before deciding it was time to broaden his horizons. He moved to Seattle to study graphic design and realize his potential. After graduating from Seattle Central Community College, Matt was contracted by Wunderman as a graphic designer. After working on contract for nine months, he was hired on as a salaried employee. He creates online advertisements and e-mail graphics for Microsoft and XBOX.

Matt is also a talented illustrator, and tries to draw whenever he gets a chance. He still occasionally does freelance work, and you can see some of his recent projects at Matt Elbon Design.

A Perfect Match

A Perfect MatchIn the 2008, the summer shone with optimism. Both Matt and Amber had just graduated, and buoyed by their recent educational accomplishments, they decided it was time to start looking for a special relationship. They both decided to try Match.com for just one month to see where it got them.

After clicking through countless pages of search results, Amber stumbled upon Matt’s profile and sent him a “wink.” To her surprise, he responded with a well-written message telling her more about himself. Impressed, she replied and they began correspondence. After a few friendly messages, they decided to meet in person.

They met by the bronze pig at Pike Place Market. Sharing smiles and conversation, they navigated their way through the crowded market. Their conversation carried them down to the piers, over to the Olympic Sculpture Park, up to the Seattle Center, and back to Pike Place. At the end of their six hour date, both were bubbling with creativity and excitement. They kept in touch via text messages throughout the night and soon made plans to go to Point Defiance in Tacoma for their second date. Ever since, they have been practically inseparable!
